There is a page on the LINZ site listing datasets which includes a few not listed on opengovt.org.nz:
http://www.linz.govt.nz/about-linz/news-publications-and-consultations/linz-datasets/index.aspx
– small scale topographic maps (JPG)
– sea level data (differs from tide predictions)
– antarctic topo photos
And a few more.
Also, LINZ has http://www.nztopoonline.linz.govt.nz/index.html where people can customise their own Topo maps (good for trampers, maybe?) and download shape files, which might be worth listing in its own right, although it is mentioned under your “NZTopo Topographic Database” entry.
