Market Rent

Posted: June 4th, 2009 | Author: barnaclebarnes | Filed under: Dataset | Tags: , , | No Comments »

Market rent is described (in the Residential Tenancies Act) as what a willing landlord might reasonably expect to receive, and a willing tenant might reasonably expect to pay for the tenancy, in comparison with rent levels for similar properties in similar areas. We take information from bonds received within the last 6 months to provide an indication of the weekly rent charged in areas throughout New Zealand. Data is at the TLA Level (Territorial Local Authority Рthis is set by the council) and the SAU level (Statistical Area Unit) Level.

Data is available back to 1992 and custom slices of the data is available.
